A professional dancer, choreographer and actor born and raised in Carriacou, Grenada, West Indies, Wendell Bullen started training in Dance as soon as he moved to New York City in 2009. Well versatile, Wendell has trained in Hip Hop (Breaking, Popping, Locking and Waving), Ballet, Modern, Contemporary, Jazz, Street Jazz, Salsa, African and Dancehall in NYC’s most accredited dance institutions. Those institutions include Steps on Broadway, The Door led by Anthony Rodriguez, Broadway Dance Center (via an awarded scholarship program) and an extensive ballet training program through Obediah Wright’s ballet dance intensive.
Wendell has worked with a number of industry professionals and performed at many charity events to give back to various communities; some of which hosted by Danny Glover, Dr.Oz, and Nick Cannon for NBC's 2015 Rednose Day Danceathon. Wendell has acted and danced in the off-broadway plays 'In The Heights', Zombie Strippers (NYMF), and Etymology of Bird; and has even appeared dancing on an episode of the TV show "Impractical Jokers.” You can catch Wendell modeling for popular brands such as Reebok and catch him traveling and teaching dance workshops through Redbull sponsorship at various IVY league universities (including Harvard, MIT, BU and Berkely College). He has also enjoys teaching dance classes at various prestigious dance centers such as Broadway Dance Center, Peridance Capezio Center, Colgate University, Dancing Preachers International Conference, World Changers (Indiana), and Movement Lifestyle (L.A.). But from the convenience of your home computer, phone and/or TV , you can watch Wendell in official music videos for major artists modeling and performing and in the new 2018 Vinci Headphone commercial. He's also performed with the famous singer-songwriter Ne-Yo on popular TV Shows like Good Morning America and Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Wendell’s biggest accomplishment to date is performing for Prince William and Dutchess Kate Middleton of England when they visited The Door NYC. Wendell is one of NYC’s most notable, versatile and creative choreographers and teachers, holding weekly Dancehall, Hiphop, Freestyle and Breaking classes throughout the NYC tri-state area to students from the age of 3 and up since 2014. Wendell continues to show a special passion and love for Dancehall as a member of the worldwide collective of dancehall instructors and influencers known as "Danca Family” created by Redbull signee Blacka Di Danca.
